3) The amount of Matter (stuff) we have is called mass.To find the amount of matter (stuff) an object contains, we will compare the object to another object. However, we would already know the amount of matter (stuff) contained in the second object. This amount of matter is always recorded using the metric system units

For example: You have found a cube of iron . To find its mass you will have to compare it to something else whose mass we already know.
